I was on my way to Santiago to buy some things when I bumped into some friends on their way to the cordillera. I ran back to the house and stuffed all my gear into my pack. A quick stop at the market and we were at the edge of town waiting for a ride. By 8:00pm we had hiked into a very special place and shared a great meal. The next morning I set out for the top of a nearby ridge. After an hour and forty minutes of stiff climbing I was treated to a divine view. It then took just 30 minutes to glissade back to camp. After eating breakfast, we hiked the opposite side of canyon and snowboarded for several hours.
