This volcano straddles the border with Argentina. As it is the tallest peak accessible from El Cajón del Maipo, it would make an ideal acclimatization climb in preparation for Aconcagua. The architect I had been working with wanted to experience the high cordillera so we tracked down gear for him and hitchhiked to the absolute end of the canyon.
